Small yet expertly crafted, this is Kero Kero Bonito at their inventive, heartfelt best. Each song is equally ominous and optimistic, whether it's the brilliantly sprightly yet eerie 8-bit fairytale "The Princess and the Clock," the bittersweet realities of COVID-19 lockdown life on "21/4/20," or the hypnotic finale "Well Rested," which closes with Perry intoning cryptically, "Doomsday hasn't happened yet - you cannot stop civilization." To say that the group packs a lot into Civilisation's six songs is an understatement, but the results are far from overwrought. Instead of getting even darker, the songs from Civilisation II respond to the first EP's cautionary tales with fables and stories that incorporate the brighter side of KKB's music and reflect how we cope with crises. The object of the game is to create a civilization that can stand the test of time. The game was met with critical and commercial success and is considered by many publications (such as IGN) to be one of the greatest games of all time. Arriving just a few months before 2020 rocked the world, Civilisation I seemed prescient, but Civilisation II put Kero Kero Bonito in the unique position of being able to respond to the issues they were addressing in more or less real time. Sid Meier’s Civilization II is a PC turn based strategy game released in 1996. It serves as a sequel to 2019’s Civilisation I. This is particularly true of Civilisation I's songs: "Battle Lines" throws listeners into a disorienting fray of synths, polyrhythms, and Perry's vocals that owes as much to Ryuichi Sakamoto as it does to Sun Tzu's The Art of War, while "The River" pulses along on a house-inspired beat as humanity is swept away in a cleansing flood. Civilisation II is an EP by Kero Kero Bonito released on April 21st, 2021. The trio returns to its electro-pop roots, but befitting Civilisation's subject matter, KKB adopts a much more complex style to relay the EPs' parallel history of deception, apathy, and destruction. As Sarah Midori Perry, Gus Lobban, and Jamie Bulled explore the world's urgent but deep-seated issues (war, climate change, tyranny), they encompass the past, present, and future of humanity and their music. This Vinyl release has 6 tracks, therefore omitting the 55 second intermission track 'Gateway'. Contains printed inner sleeve with lyrics and credits. With Civilisation - which collects 2019's Civilisation I and 2021's Civilisation II EPs - Kero Kero Bonito magnify their need to understand their place in the world to include humankind as a whole. Packaged in a single sleeve with spot gloss and a belly-band. When their hyper-pop contemporaries were trying to sound as artificial as possible, KKB humanized the style with Bonito Generation's songs about parents and graduation, and on Time 'n' Place, they used '90s alt-rock to embody the clash between nostalgia and reality that happens while growing up. Since their early days, Kero Kero Bonito have excelled at giving their musical directions an extra dose of meaning.

Almost any question you have can be answered by consulting these resources.Screen recorder, screen recording software, screencasting software, and screen capture software are different names for the same tool that allows you to record a computer screen’s output. Aside from the above-mentioned in-application tutorials, Movavi offers a wide selection of how-to articles, video guides and a knowledge base on their website. Movavi makes this software extremely easy to learn and use, but there may be times you need some guidance. You can also upload to Google Drive, for easy sharing, and Movavi Cloud for storage. You can optimize your video for YouTube and upload it direct, something that was absent in previous versions of Movavi. There is an additional Movavi store where you can buy additional effects and transitions, to add flourishes to your videos. But that was not the case with Movavi Screen Recorder: our experts found the video to be crisp, clear and nearly identical to the source material. In almost every case, they found noticeable flaws that detract from the viewing experience. Our video experts inspected the results, searching for imperfections in the video such as pixelation, motion blur and hesitation in the video. During testing, we created ten identical projects using each video capture application on our lineup. No matter what device your video is displayed on, it's seen in the best quality possible.Īnd the quality is excellent. It also has options for Android and Windows devices, as well gaming systems and other media players. The program will automatically tailor your video's setting for that device. So if you know your video is going to be watched on an iPhone 11, simply select that option from the 'Apple Devices' tab. You can also optimize your video for playback on more than 150 devices. These controls are great for advanced users, and the default options will satisfy the needs of novice users. There are multiple options to fine-tune technical aspects of your final video such as resolution, FPS (frames per second) and sample rate. You can export your video to 11 of the most popular video formats. The export options Movavi Screen Recorder Studio offers stands heads and shoulders above the competition. (Image credit: Movavi) Movavi Screen Recorder Studio review: Editing options These features are generally found in stand-alone video-editing applications none of the other programs we reviewed have these tools. You also get some advanced tools, such as the chroma key (green screen), slow motion and video stabilization. You can add effects, filters, transitions, titles, captions and more. The editor also has a number of video and audio-enhancement tools. Additionally, you can add media that's on your computer to your project – outside video and sounds can easily be dropped in and edited just like the content you capture from your screen. You can also fine-tune and enhance your audio, something only one other application on our lineup allows you to do. This software allows you to pan and zoom across your footage to highlight important aspects of your screen. Movavi Screen Recorder Studio goes far beyond the basics. This is in stark contrast to most of the video recorder software we reviewed, in which the editing features are limited to trimming unwanted footage and adding text – and some have no editing tools at all. If the tools were sold as a separate application, it would give even the best video editing programs a run for its money. This screen recorder offers the most comprehensive array of editing tools we've seen. It goes without saying that you can also snap static screenshots. The multiple options allow you to record exactly what you want from multiple sources, and this saves a lot of time and energy during the editing phase. Additionally, you can record your voice through a microphone. You also have the option to capture your system's audio so your audience can hear what's going on. Recording is possible at 1080p (Full HD) at 60fps. When you select the Capture Screen option, you can choose to record your entire screen, a custom portion of it, or a specific window or application. You can turn the pop-up off or simply skip the tutorials. These tutorials are invaluable to the novice because they show you how to get the most out of your software. If you're using Movavi Screen Recorder Studio for the first time, tutorials pop up to help you get started. When you launch this screen recorder, the welcome screen has three options: Capture Screen, Record Audio, and Edit Video. You can use these capturing tools to record anything that happens on your computer, whether it's an application, game, a Skype call, streaming video. Movavi Screen Recorder Studio is the only program in our lineup to have every recording and capture tool you could want. If the problem comes back then deal with that. If it was just a little low on coolant you could have just add some distilled water and call it good-to-go for now. Much as I was looking forward to saving money by buying the red ($31.84/gal which would make 2 gals when diluted), I caved and spent $21.81 to get a gal of the pink as it is spec'd for my car. OTOH, the two chemical differences between red and pink as stated on the jugs might just be marketing mumbo jumbo BS to get people who bought cheaper cars to spend more money on parts. But, the pink "Super Long Life" product might be formulated to be nicer to engines it's spec'd for over a longer period of time than the red. Will using red in your Yaris, or mixing the two, cause engine damage? Doesn't sound like it, at least not in the short term. So, while the pink and red are similar and compatible it would appear that they are not quite exactly the same thing. He even walked out to the shop to ask a tech whether he knew if the pink and red were exactly the same thing, but he said he didn't know. The second component had a completely different name and number on each jug. Interestingly, one of the components had the same number on both products, but the name was different. The red coolant on the other hand is an IAT (inorganic acid. They were the same in both, except for two components, I believe an acid and some chemical. The pink coolant is an OAT (organic acid technology) that typically has a longer service life. As my coolant is down a little I went over to the local dealer this afternoon to buy a gallon of red. It also can prevent rust and antifreeze up to -40 degrees Celsius. The Ice Climbers are motivated into jumping up through vertical, platform-heavy "glacial mountain" stages when all of their vegetables are stolen by a giant condor that retreats to the top of each stage, and along the way, they must smash blocks of ice either by jumping into them from underneath or using their mallets. In Ice Climber, the player controls a child in a blue Inuit parka and wielding a mallet, Popo, and in a two-player cooperative mode, a second, female Ice Climber in a pink parka, Nana, becomes a simultaneous second player-character. Ultimate, though, there have never been any announced plans to produce some kind of modern-day follow-up. Despite the Ice Climbers reappearing in Super Smash Bros. The arcade version has also seen a rerelease as part of the Arcade Archives series. The appearance of the Ice Climbers in 2001's Super Smash Bros. crossover fighting game series selectively picked its main characters, the Ice Climbers, as a playable character choice representing an exclusively "retro" game series among a sea of Nintendo characters well-known in Nintendo's modern lineup of IPs. Sixteen years later, however, Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ice Climber was released in North America in the October of the previous year, which included some different stages exclusive level hazards and enemies and other mechanic changes, but otherwise, Ice Climber remained an isolated, historical relic from the early years of the Famicom/NES. One thing to note is that Patrix is getting constant updates from the developer. The developer also created a 32x low-resolution version which is still better than vanilla Minecraft that uses 16x textures. Players that are experiencing extreme frame rate drops are recommended to use the 128x version. The 256x resolution version of the Patrix resource pack is very demanding in terms of resources and even the modern computers may encounter difficulties running it. The resource pack is available in 3 different resolutions. Shadows now look much crisper with the aid of the shader pack and the higher resolution of ingame textures. The Patrix texture pack only works with SEUS PTGI as other shaders do not have the features required by Patrix. Patrix requires SEUS PTGI shader pack that can be installed like any other shader pack. This feature makes it possible to create more varied environments. For example, some blocks have multiple different textures and this feature only works with Optifine. It uses some of the features in Optifine to make certain things work. The Patrix resource pack is recommended to be used with Optifine HD. Most resource packs usually replace around 30% to 50% of the textures in Minecraft. Using various tools to automate some of the work allowed Patrix to introduce photo-realistic textures for the entire game. This makes it possible to use Patrix with existing maps without making them look weird. To ensure that the game does not look too different, the developer used procedural color-matching so that the new textures have similar colors to the default textures. Other textures were made by the developer with the use of procedural texturing. Through cropping, editing, and mixing, the textures were adapted to be suitable for use in Minecraft. According to the developer of Patrix, many of the textures were derived from free stock textures, collected from different websites. It simply makes everything look much more crisp and detailed. The colors of the textures have also been tweaked so that they are more vibrant and easy to distinguish. Having a higher resolution allows for more details to be cramped in the same texture. The texture in the Patrix texture pack adds even more details on top of the many improvements. Weapons and certain items are almost unrecognizable due to the increased resolution and detailed textures. This method adds even more details to objects such as trees, mobs, ladders, plants, furniture, etc. Some models had their blocks reduced in size to increase the number of polygons in certain objects. Out from the get-go, it is easy to notice that the 3D models of most blocks and assets in the game were improved. All aspects of Minecraft were redone to deliver a cohesive and consistent experience. What sets Patrix apart is the level of detail of every single block and texture in the game. Patrix takes one step further as it is not just a fresh coat of paint but an almost triple A game. Certainly, there are similar resource packs that boast photo-realistic textures. It is a refreshing look that should be welcomed by all Minecraft players who are looking for a brand new experience, superior in every way. The photorealism of the textures and the added details to the 3D models in the game bring Minecraft closer to modern-day games. The pack completely changes the visuals within vanilla Minecraft, making it an almost unrecognizable game with stunning graphics. Very few resource packs manage to achieve what the Patrix resource pack achieves. This capability is especially useful when you deal with a huge codebase or have to test your update on different operating systems. Tasks can be executed in parallel, by several agents. The company says it is used by more than 33 million individuals and 100,000 businesses. Many websites almost certainly still use a simple method. LastPass is one of the world's most popular password management services. That "initially made it difficult for investigators to differentiate between threat actor activity and ongoing legitimate activity." Eventually, the AWS threat detection service spotted anomalous behavior. Spotting the hacker operating inside its AWS account was difficult, LastPass says, since the attacker had valid credentials stolen from a senior DevOps engineer. "The word pivot in this context is just a jargon way of saying, 'Where the crooks went next,'" wrote cybersecurity company Sophos in a report on the attack. The threat actor "pivoted from the first incident," engaging in a "new series of reconnaissance, enumeration, and exfiltration activities aligned to the cloud storage environment spanning from Augto October 26, 2022," the company says. That changed in December, when the company first said hackers had been able to copy encrypted customer vault data. LastPass has slowly acknowledged a widening set of impacts stemming from an August breach the company first assessed as affecting nothing beyond its source code and proprietary technical information. Ars Technica reported the software exploited by the attackers was the Plex media platform. LastPass did not reveal the software package vulnerability hackers exploited to place a keylogger on an employee's computer. Included in the data hackers obtained were unencrypted URLs of websites that match a saved entry in customers' vaults. The company warns that the hackers behind what it called a coordinated attack may attempt to brute-force decryption of customer data vaults and use customer data to target users with phishing attacks or attempted credential stuffing attacks against their accounts. Hackers also obtained customer telephone numbers used for multifactor authentication backup. Backups of customer vault data also were exfiltrated, but the company says they can only be decrypted with the end user master password, which is not stored or known by LastPass. LastPass says the stolen data includes customer metadata, API secrets, third-party integration secrets and configuration data. The targeted employee was one of four company employees who had access to decryption keys needed to access the AWS account, the company says. The hacker stole "encrypted secure notes with access and decryption keys" needed to access production backups stored in the company's Amazon Web Services cloud storage account. Through the keylogger, implanted via a third-party media software package with a remote code execution vulnerability, the hacker was able to capture the employee's master password and circumvent the multifactor authentication requirement for accessing the corporate vault. See Also: OnDemand | Attack Surface Management 2.0: Leveraging Vulnerability Analytics & Threat Intelligence The situation at password manager company LastPass keeps getting worse: In an undated update, the company now says hackers implanted keylogger software on a DevOps employee's home computer to obtain access to the corporate vault. That said, more is always better if you can afford it. We recommend models with at least 4GB of RAM for light multitasking. You can get RAM in an array of quantities, from 2GB to 16GB or more. Multitasking with several programs requires more RAM, whereas word processing and light web browsing necessitates far less of it. In layman’s terms, RAM is “working memory” for active programs, and the available amount determines how much data the machine can load at once. Memory, or RAM (random access memory), is almost as important to a computer’s speed as the processor itself. In terms of pure power, though, it’s hard to beat an Intel. AMDs are generally better for budget-concerned buyers as well as those who value flexibility options such as processor overclocking, which is the ability to run faster than originally certified. Intel processors boast impressive speed, power, and graphics performance, but they can be more expensive than their AMD counterparts. Both of these brands bring something different to the table. Lenovo laptops use either Intel or AMD processors. The speed of a processor is measured in GHz, so the more GHz, the more processes it can execute at the same time. No matter what you call your processor - the CPU, main processor, or simply the brain of the operation - the important thing to remember is that your CPU determines how quickly your computer can run programs and execute commands. Other factors influencing screen quality are anti-glare coatings and LED backlights. At the top of the range, you will find select models with 2560 x 1700 Wide Quad High Definition resolution, which puts it between Full HD and true 4K clarity. A resolution of 1366 x 768 HD is standard on business laptops, but 1920 x 1080 Full HD is available as well. Resolution is how sharp the display itself is. Larger screens are, of course, better suited for visibility, but they can impact portability if you are someone who is constantly on the go. However, you may be able to find outliers on either end of the spectrum. Lenovo laptop screens generally fall between 11 and 15.6 inches when measured diagonally. Note that this is different from screen style (standard, touchscreen, convertible), which is determined by the main categories listed in the intro. The size and resolution of your screen should always be at the top of your priority list. With that in mind, here are the other main considerations to think about when shopping. The majority of Lenovo products run off Windows (some support Linux), so this means you don’t have to worry so much about choosing an operating system. If you’re a student or businessperson who travels with their machine all day, consider its heft alongside its screen size and processing power. Laptops can weigh as little as 2 pounds, but others can tip the scales at 15 pounds or more. ThinkPads, by contrast, are high-end machines with robust and well-rounded feature sets, with more impressive performance figures than their high-value counterparts.Īre you interested in learning more about Lenovo products and features? IdeaPads are everyday-use, mainstream computers that offer exceptional value for the money. Their laptop catalog can be broken down into several main categories. They are engineered to have intuitive designs, reliable components, and long battery life, making them highly efficient for the modern world. Lenovo machines are all about increasing productivity.
